P100 - Doors for Seaboard Air Line Class AF-3 Automobile Cars
In 1945, the Seaboard Air Line added a group of automobile cars to the fleet that were based upon the 1937 AAR box car. The Red Caboose models of the auto cars based upon the 1937 AAR box car are generally accurate, but the doors are not wide enough. These resin doors are of the prototypical width and feature finer detail than those included in the Red Caboose kits. The model above was profiled in Prototype Railroad Modeling, Volume Two and was lettered using Speedwitch Decal set D103.
