KC101 - Southern Pacific/Texas & New Orleans B-50-25 12-Panel 10'0" IH Postwar AAR Box Car
In 1946 and 1947 the Southern Pacific received 2600 40' 12-panel 10' 0" inside height Postwar AAR box cars. In addition to being unusual for their 12-panel sides, most also used an interim version of the Improved Youngstown corrugated steel door that had wide, flat areas where the door panels overlapped. This resulted in a subtly distinctive box car.
