K104 - Canadian National 36' Fowler Patent Box Car - 5' Door
The Canadian National inherited a large number of 36' Fowler Patent box cars during the consolidation that created the line during the post WWI period. These cars came the Canadian Government Railways and Canadian Northern and used a five foot door opening along with several traits that differed from the Canadian Pacific Fowlers. These cars were photographed all over the U.S. in a variety of services, including newsprint.
This version has never been offered before in HO. These kits feature one-piece cast resin bodies. Trucks and couplers not included. Accurate trucks are available from Life-Like of Canada.
NOTE: Currently, there is a 60-90 day delivery timeframe on this kit. This will remain in effect until late September, 2008.
